All praise be to Al-Mighty for giving us another efficacious year. The Urdu and Islamic Studies department has been energetically involved in the functioning of the school as in the past years and have been actively involved in all in school programs to create awareness amongst teachers and students about Islamic practises as well as it is an opportune time to train the students for public speaking. The department has also taken up the leading role in preparing students for Tarbiya program that is conducted on every Friday. The department hosted the Yawm-e-Ashura, Milad-un-nabi, Miraj-un Nabi, and Eid u-l Adha in school programs where students were enlightened of these special Islamic events.

On the same note, with the initiative of the school administration, the department is conducting the Qirat program every afternoon from 2.45pm where the students are assisted to read Qaida and Quran, and memorise Surah Yasin and Surah Rahman. A total of 115 students (62 from Year 9 and 53 from Year 10) were participating in the Qirat program. Ten Year 10 students have completed the Quran since they were reading it from Year 9 in 2021 while 32 Year 9 students have completed the Qaida and have started reading the Quran and Insha Allah by next year they will also complete the Quran.  

Furthermore, the department also organises the Islamic awareness week in the month of Ramadan every year and once again the students showed great talents in the display and the best form display was awarded with cash prizes.

 Finally, the department wishes to convey its hearty thanks to all for their support and assistance throughout the year. The department is thankful to the other Muslim in the school who have assisted the department in carrying out the department activities and taking Islamiyat classes in the absences of Mr. Rizwan during his medical treatment.
