The department offers disciplines such as Social Science, Geography and History. Our activities are numerous and span all facets of the college’s variety of activities. We have continued to contribute in internal and external competitions this year.  Apart from this, all the internal school programmes required us to prepare students for the public speaking and coordination of the functions that have not only expanded the frontiers of knowledge but also had a tangible impact on society.

Our teachers are at the forefront of addressing pressing social issues such as Societal Resilience, examining how societies respond to crises, including the effects of the pandemic, and developing strategies for resilience, Mental Health and Well-being where we always try and establish the psychological impact of modern life and developing interventions to promote mental well-being for our children and Social Justice by analyzing systemic inequalities and advocating for policies that promote fairness and inclusivity.

Our department is committed to fostering the intellectual growth of our students. We offer a variety of activities and topics and programmes that encourage critical thinking and the holistic development of the child. Our students engage in research, fieldwork, and projects, gaining real-world experience while contributing to societal betterment.

With a passionate faculty, cutting-edge research, engaged students, and a commitment to community outreach, we are at the forefront of shaping a more just, equitable, and resilient world.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of advancing knowledge, fostering critical thinking, and inspiring positive change in society and to the utmost greater student achievements in external examinations.  Consequently, I wish to express my solemn gratitude and recognition to all the teachers of the department for their obligation, determination and fortitude. Suitably the success of the department is largely credited to the Department teachers’ willful approach towards designated duties and the initiatives taken during the year and everyone who has been part of our journey as we continue to explore the dynamics of society and work towards a brighter tomorrow.
