The department consists of a 5 member dynamic staff to impart knowledge of Mathematics & Physics to our valued students.

The department mission is to provide an environment where students acquire the skills essential to use their understanding of mathematics and physics to become productive members of the workforce.

Department Activities and Achievements

The department has participated in various activities during the year which are as follows:

• 1^st Prize in the Video Competition (2024) organized by University of Fiji.
• Students awarded with $500 Cash and Certificate of Achievement presented on 21^st February, 2025.

• 2^nd Place at National Level in the WE-ECO Video Competition organized by Department of Energy.
• Students awarded with $300 Cash each and Certificate of Achievement.

• The department participated in the Zonal Team Mathematics Competition (TMC) on 18^th July, 2025 at Xavier College., Ba.

• Overall the school attained 5^th position in the North West Zone.

• 1^st Place at Ba/Tavua District Level in the Viti Showcase and Skills Fair Student Competition–2025 organised by The Ministry of Education, Ba/Tavua Education District.

• School awarded with a 1^st place Plaque

• 104 students participated in the Fiji Mathematics Competition (FMC) on 7^th August 2025.

• Numeracy Programme for Year 9 and 10 students has been conducted during the year to assist students in basic mathematical and calculation skills.

Although Mathematics and Physics are challenging subjects for learning and teaching, the department teachers have been very supportive and have motivated students to reach their potential.

Finally, I would like to thank the department teachers for their co-operation and hard work and the school administrators for their continued support throughout the year.
